How what we see and don’t see changes the world
Some time back I wrote about a book called “Seeing Beyond Sight: Photographs by Blind Teenagers“ by Tony Deifell. Since then I’ve been interested in Tony’s work and I follow what he does with great interest. Somehow, perhaps because I was away travelling, I missed Tony’s talk at TEDx last December. The story at the start of his talk about the creator and the lamp is one of my favourite stories (I’ve heard slightly different versions of it). I hope you enjoy it.
About this useless blog
This blog is, for want of a better word, a journal. It’s a place to dump thoughts that pop-up uninvited. It’s a map of a journey to nowhere. A diary about nothing… or everything… same thing. It’s about life but nothing specific. It’s about photography but for no particular reason. It’s about answering a question that keeps nagging. It’s about seeing rather than looking.
It’s quite a useless site really and you don’t need to be here but if you decide to stick around then welcome.
